IFMO project publishes summary report of engagement findings

Jul 19, 2019 | Engagement, News, Project Status

Community engagement is essential for the successful development of the Indigenous Fire Marshal Office. The first round of engagement was completed in 2018-2019 across Canada.

At every Engagement session the participants agreed that there are many gaps in services, and they want to see change.  Aside from their suggestions and comments they offered, on the program and service needs for their Communities , it was brought to our attention by them that we needed to speak with their Fire Chiefs or Emergency Service Providers to get their perspective on what can be done to ensure safer communities.
