First Nations’ Emergency Services Society (FNESS) is currently inviting resumes for an Executive Assistant. The position reports directly to the executive director and liaises with the board of directors and department managers. The successful candidate will be responsible to lead and execute on the administrative objectives that will support FNESS’ strategic and operational priorities. They will have a key role in the management of all administrative functions for FNESS, including planning and policy development, board governance, human resources, and operational and facilities management. Partner Organization News: Grant Funding Available
Applications are currently being accepted through WorkBC for Community Workforce Response Grants within the Indigenous Communities Stream. Funding is available to Indigenous communities in BC and/or organizations operating within BC that serve the needs of First Nations, Métis, or Inuit for skills training and related supports required to meet local labour needs. Firefighting and emergency services training are areas that are eligible to receive funding. An application period will be starting June 10.
