NIFSC Annual General Meeting

The National Indigenous Fire Safety Council's Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 3:00 PM EST. This virtual gathering is open to NIFSC members and all who are passionate about Indigenous fire safety and community resilience.

This AGM is an opportunity to learn more about the important work being done to support Indigenous fire safety across Canada and engage with our community. We’ll also be calling for candidates for several Board of Directors positions, including Board President and Regional Representatives for Alberta, Manitoba, Nunavut, Emergency Management, Assembly of First Nations (AFN), and Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK).

The full agenda will be made available prior to the meeting.

The NIFSC Membership Eligibility Requirements:

  • Indigenous, First Nation, Inuit, or Metis Firefighter

    • Indigenous or First Nation fire/emergency organization members and Indigenous or First Nation public safety practitioners who provide direct or indirect support to public safety.

  • Residing in Canada

  • 18 years of age or older

The membership year shall be from January 1st of each year to December 31st of the same year.
