We extend heartfelt thanks to all attendees for their invaluable contributions and continued dedication to our mission of enhancing fire safety and emergency preparedness in First Nations communities.

Welcoming Our New Board President

We are thrilled to introduce Jeremy Parkin as the new Board President of NIFSC. Jeremy is the Director of Emergency Services with the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, where he oversees fire and paramedic departments as well as emergency management. In addition to his professional role, Jeremy serves as the Vice President of the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs and is pursuing a degree in Public Safety. His leadership promises to bring a renewed focus and energy to advancing fire safety initiatives for First Nations communities.

Honoring Outgoing President Michelle Vandevord

We also wish to express our deepest gratitude to Michelle Vandevord for her exceptional leadership and dedication during her tenure as Board President.
